Overview

Wingify provides a Model Context Protocol (MCP) server that enables Claude to interact with your Wingify data via a connector. A connector acts as a secure digital bridge between a Large Language Model like Claude and an external platform like Wingify. By configuring a custom Wingify connector in Claude, you can ask Claude questions about your campaigns, retrieve heatmaps, analyze session recordings, and generate reports using natural language. This integration bridges the gap between AI-driven insights and your experimentation data, allowing for faster analysis and decision-making.

For example, instead of manually navigating through multiple reports to compare campaign performance, you can ask Claude, Which of my active Wingify campaigns has the highest conversion rate this week? Claude uses the Wingify connector to fetch real-time data from your Wingify account and provides a concise summary.

Prerequisites

• You must have a Wingify Enterprise plan or the Developer Plus add-on enabled.
• You must have a Claude Free, Pro, Team, or Enterprise account.

Connect the Wingify MCP Server with Claude

Follow these steps to integrate the Wingify MCP server with your Claude account:

Step 1: Configure the Custom Wingify Connector in Claude

Note: Use the official Claude website to follow the steps below.

To add Wingify as a custom connector within Claude:

1. Log in to your Claude account and navigate to your profile from the bottom-left corner.
2. Select Settings > Connectors.
3. Click Add custom connector.
4. In the Name field, enter the name of the connector (Wingify in this case).
5. In the Remote MCP server URL field, enter https://mcp.wingify.ai/mcp 
6. Click Add. Claude validates the URL and initiates the OAuth flow.

Step 2: Authorize Wingify Access

After you click Add, follow these steps on the Wingify authorization screen:

1. Select your Wingify account.
2. Choose your permission level (Browse, Design, or Publish/Admin). You can select from the following permissions to manage how end users interact with Wingify data through the MCP server.

3. Permission	Description
   Browse	Read-only access to Wingify data, session recordings, heatmaps, A/B tests, Split URL, and Multivariate tests. Cannot create or edit.
   Design	Enables creation of new A/B or Split URL tests via the MCP.
   Publish / Admin	Provides full control to create, edit, start, pause, or delete A/B tests and Split URL tests.

4. Select the acknowledgment box.
5. Click Approve.

Step 3: Configure Tool Permissions for the Connector

After adding the connector, you must specify which Wingify tools Claude is allowed to access. To configure the tool permissions for your connector:

1. In your Claude account, navigate to your profile from the bottom-left corner.
2. Select Settings > Connectors.
3. Locate the Wingify connector in your list of connectors, then click Configure.
4. Under Read-only tools, toggle on the specific capabilities you want Claude to have, such as:
   • Get Wingify Campaign Report
   • Analyze Wingify Heatmap Data
   • Analyze Wingify Recording Data
5. If you want Claude to be able to create or update campaigns, enable the relevant options under Write/delete tools.
6. For each tool, select the approval requirement, for example, Always allow, Needs approval, or Blocked.

Once configured, Claude will interact with your Wingify account according to the permissions you’ve defined, ensuring secure, controlled access to your data.

Step 4: Enable the Connector and Query Wingify Data

Once the Wingify connector is configured, you must enable it in a chat session before asking campaign-related queries. To activate the connector:

1. From the main navigation panel on the left, click +New chat.
2. In the text input field, click +, then select Connectors.
3. Toggle on the Wingify connector. 
4. Start asking your questions in the chat. To answer your questions, Claude calls the Wingify MCP server to fetch the relevant data.

For best results, make your questions as specific as possible. Include campaign names, page URLs, and date ranges (for example, share the progress of campaigns that were published in the last 5 days).
