When your webpage loads in the editor, you may sometimes encounter issues. These issues could range from the page missing some functionalities to sections missing entirely.
To cater to this, Wingify enables you to self-diagnose and resolve issues without contacting the support team. First, let’s look at some of the potential issues.
Issues You Might Encounter When Loading Your Website in Wingify Visual Editor
Wingify broadly classifies the common issues into the following three categories:
Editor loaded in Fallback mode: When the editor loads your website in Fallback mode, i.e., over a proxy server, a warning message appears, describing why the editor loaded in Fallback mode and how to fix it.
Failed to load the page in the Wingify Visual Editor: When the editor fails to load the page, a message is displayed in Wingify. This usually happens when the Wingify SmartCode is missing from the webpage you are trying to edit, and your servers block the page from loading via proxy.
Other issues: If you don't see any error codes or failure messages and the page still loads with some defects in the editor.
Fallback Mode Errors
If the editor loads in Fallback mode, you may notice any of the following error codes: 0000, 0003, 0010, 0100, 0101, 0102, 0103, 0104, 1000, 1003, 1100, 1101, 1102, 1103, 1104. To view the resolution steps, click the one that pertains to your case.

Some Other Issues in Wingify Visual Editor
If you don't see any error codes or failure messages but are still having trouble loading your webpage in the editor, we recommend that you verify the following:
Check if any Javascript blockers like AdBlocker and DuckDuckGo are installed on your browser with custom settings. If so, ensure that Wingify requests (wingify.com and visualwebsiteoptimizer.com) are whitelisted. Otherwise, the Visual Editor, Heatmaps, SmartCode Checker, and the Previews will not load. For instance, if you have the uBlock plugin enabled on your browser, here’s how you can whitelist Wingify requests:
Click on the uBlock icon in your browser and open the dashboard by clicking on the Settings icon.
Go to the My filters tab and add- @@||*.wingify.net^.
Once done, click Apply changes. Now everything should work fine.
Ensure that the URL you entered in the Enter URL of the page for which you want to preview field is valid.
When you load the mobile view in the editor, Wingify displays the webpage in an iframe. However, loading responsive websites in an iframe may be restricted for certain websites. To check whether a page opens in an iframe, hit this URL in your browser: data:text/html,<iframe id="testFrame" src="your_website_URL" width="320px" height="600px"></iframe>. If it is broken, you may need to get in touch with your development team to fix it.
Although third-party cookies are not necessary for Wingify Editor to function, third-party storage (sessionStorage and localStorage) is still required. Therefore, we recommend that you enable third-party cookies in your browser settings.
