How to Use Wandz in Session Recordings

Let's illustrate Wandz's capabilities in session recordings with an example. 

Imagine you want to analyze a segment of visitors who recently interacted with your Black Friday campaign and arrived through organic traffic, using mobile devices.

1. Segment Selection: Apply the relevant filters to isolate the desired segment of session recordings.
2. AI Summary: There are two types of AI summaries available as part of the session recording feature, as mentioned in the following table.

Click the Summarize presented along with the play button in the recording list. Wandz instantly generates concise summaries for each recording within the segment.

Recording Summary

You can click the View full summary for a comprehensive summary of specific recordings that stand out. The breakdown of this report includes:

Compare and Analyze Groups of Session Recordings using Wandz

You can use Wandz to efficiently analyze large volumes of session recordings and uncover meaningful user behavior patterns. Instead of reviewing recordings one by one, you can filter sessions by date ranges, visitor attributes, or predefined segments to focus on the most relevant interactions. You can also create groups of recordings to compare how different user cohorts interact with your website and identify patterns that may impact conversions or engagement.

For example, suppose you notice that conversion rates are lower for visitors from a specific region. You can create two groups of recordings, one for visitors from North America and another for visitors from Europe. You can then review them side by side. By comparing these recordings, you may discover differences in navigation behavior, friction points during checkout, or usability issues that affect only a particular region. These insights can help you prioritize targeted optimizations, such as improving localized content, adjusting form fields, or addressing region-specific performance issues.

To create groups of recordings for detailed analysis:

1. (Optional) Select the time range for which you want to view the recordings using the Date Filter, and select any specific visitor segment or report-specific filter to filter out recordings based on a specific criteria and click Filter. A filtered list of recordings appears.
2. In the Summarize dropdown, select Create group to analyze.
3. For each group, select the recordings you want to analyze, and click Done.
   
   Tip: For a better analysis, select at least five recordings per group.
4. To add another group, click +Add in the Summarize dropdown, then repeat step 4.
5. After creating the groups, click Summarize recordings. Wandz opens a chat window with a pre-loaded prompt that helps you summarize key patterns, navigation issues, and actionable insights from the recordings.
6. Modify the prompt if required, then click Send Message. Based on the prompt, Wandz immediately generates a detailed report that provides an in-depth analysis of the recordings. This includes key behavioral patterns, friction points, actionable insights, and recommendations.
7. Wandz also provides recording citations for each insight it generates. These citations appear as clickable recording references within the insight. Click a citation to instantly open the session recording associated with that insight.

You can find similar citations at the start of the response. They indicate the recordings you selected in each group for the analysis. These citations help you with retrospective analysis.
