This article covers the following:
Overview
Integrating Wingify with Adobe Analytics (formerly Omniture SiteCatalyst) enables you to send Wingify campaign data to Adobe Analytics for reporting and analysis.
Before You Begin
- You have an active Adobe Analytics account.
- The Wingify SmartCode and Adobe Analytics code are implemented on your webpage.
Create an Adobe Analytics Connection in Wingify
Wingify supports the following Adobe Analytics connection type:
- Send campaign data to Adobe Analytics (Push based): Allows you to track and analyze Wingify campaign data in Adobe Analytics using campaign and variation details.
To create an Adobe Analytics connection in your Wingify account:
- Log in to your Wingify account.
- From the left panel, navigate to Configurations > Integrations.
- Click the Adobe Analytics integration tile and click Create Connection.
- Select Send campaign data to Adobe Analytics.
All configured connections appear under the Config > Active Connections section on the Adobe Analytics integration page.
Send Campaign Data to Adobe Analytics
Use this connection type to send Wingify campaign and variation data to Adobe Analytics.
To configure the connection:
- Click Create Connection and select Send campaign data to Adobe Analytics.
- In the Create Connection form, enter a name in the Connection Name field.
- In the Report Suite ID field, enter the value that uniquely identifies your website's report. A report suite is a silo of data that Adobe Analytics uses to pull reports.
- In the eVar field, enter the variable number under which you want to report the experiment data in Adobe Analytics. Enter any number between 1 and 250.
- Click Create Connection.
You can create multiple connections for different eVars to send your campaign data.
Once created, the connection appears under Active Connections with the Connection Name, Report Suite ID, Configured eVars, and Created date.
Note: Once created, this connection is read-only and cannot be modified. To use a different eVar or Report Suite ID configuration, create a new connection. You can view the connection details at any time by clicking the three-dot menu (⋮) > View Details.
After creating the connection, you must enable it for each campaign. In Web Experimentation, open the campaign, go to Configuration > Integrations, and select the appropriate Adobe Analytics connection.
Note: Each connection is mapped to a specific Adobe Analytics eVar, which stores campaign and variation data. To report data across different eVars, create separate connections and assign each campaign to the appropriate connection.
Info: Through this integration, Wingify tags Adobe Analytics with information such as campaign ID, campaign name, variation ID, and variation name to identify the campaign and the variation the visitor was exposed to. Once the integration is set up, you can slice and dice your Analytics reports with the tagged information.
For instance, if you are tracking an "Email Registration" event in Adobe Analytics, you can easily surf through your results to identify which version - Control or Variation performed the best in getting the visitors into leads by making them register for your email.
