This article covers the following:
Overview
Asset Hub is a repository in Wingify where you can store, organize, and reuse all your creative assets and custom components. It provides a cohesive experience for managing content used across your Wingify experiments and personalization campaigns. These content asset types include Images, Widgets, Themes, and Code Snippets for experiments and campaigns.
Instead of managing assets separately within the visual editor or surveys, you can now organize and reuse your creative components from a unified interface.
For example, a design team could pre-configure and upload a standard account-level theme and promotional widgets to the hub, allowing marketers to immediately deploy them within the visual editor or a new survey.
Note: Assets, once created, can be reused in campaigns that support the visual editor, such as A/B Testing, Multivariate Testing (MVT), Rollouts, and Personalize campaigns.
Key Benefits
- Centralized management: Provides a single source of truth for all reusable content assets.
- Reusability: Assets can be readily used across all supported campaign types and editors.
- Consistency: Helps maintain brand and design consistency across multiple campaigns and tests.
Asset Hub enables you to centrally manage four types of content assets:
- Images: Upload and manage account-level image assets.
- Widgets: Manage standard Wingify widgets and create custom widget presets from a unified view.
- Themes: A central location to create and store reusable styling configurations for widgets and surveys.
- Code snippets: Manage custom code modifications migrated from the editor library.
Prerequisites
- You must have an Enterprise Wingify plan to access the Widgets and Code Snippets.
- You must have a Design or higher role to create or modify assets. Users with the Browse role can only view assets.
Access Asset Hub
To access Asset Hub, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Wingify account.
- Navigate to Configurations in the left navigation panel.
- Click Asset Hub.
- Asset Hub opens, displaying four tabs for your content assets: Image, Widgets, Themes, and Code Snippets.
Images
The Images section centralizes the uploading and management of visual assets for your account.
Note: Asset Hub displays only images you upload directly via the visual editor in a supported campaign. Images uploaded for non-asset uses, such as profile pictures or logos in survey options, are excluded.
Upload Images
To upload an image:
- Select the Images tab.
- Click Upload Images.
- Select the image you want to upload and click Done.
Note: You can upload ten images at a time, with a maximum file size of 2 MB per image.
Supported file formats include: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .svg, .webp, .ttf, .otf, and .avif.
You can use the search bar to search for your image by name, or you can use the List view or Grid view to select images.
Widgets
The Widget section provides access to both Wingify's pre-configured Standard Widgets and any Custom Widgets you create.
To create a custom widget:
- Select the Widgets tab.
- Click Create Widget.
- Enter the Widget name.
- (Optional) Provide a brief description of the widget, explaining its purpose and where it is intended to be used.
- Enter or paste your widget code (HTML, CSS, or JavaScript) in the respective tabs.
- Click Create.
Note: You can save widgets up to 10 MB in size. The widget details pop-up displays the current size breakdown by HTML, CSS, and JS.
View, Clone and Filter Widgets
- View Widgets: Switch between Grid view (to see widget previews) and List view (to see details).
- Clone Widgets: Clone existing custom widgets.
- Filter Widgets: Use the Standard or Custom filter to filter widgets based on the type of widget you want to work on. Alternatively, use the All widget types filter to view all the available widgets.
Themes
The Themes section allows you to create centralized, reusable themes to maintain a consistent look for widgets and surveys. To create a new theme:
- Select the Themes tab.
- To build a new theme, click Create theme.
- Enter the Theme name.
- Navigate to the Configuration tab and configure the overall theme style. This includes configuring Background colour, Border colour, Typography (Font size, family, weight, and more), Radio Buttons, and Forms.
Note: Themes created in Asset Hub are automatically available for use in both the visual editor and Wingify Surveys.
Code Snippets
The Code Snippets section allows you to manage reusable custom code snippets for tracking, personalization, and custom behavior, which can be deployed across experiments and campaigns.
Note: By default, there are no code snippets in a new account. You must create them to populate the library.
To add a code snippet:
- Select the Code Snippets tab.
- Click Add snippet.
- Enter the Snippet name and Description.
- Write or paste your code (HTML, Styles, or JavaScript) in the respective tabs.
- Select Create. Your snippet is created.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Possible Cause | Recommended Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Image upload fails. | The image size exceeds 2 MB, or the format is not supported. | Ensure the file size is under 2 MB and the format is one of the supported types: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .svg, .web, .tff, .otf, or .avif. |
| Cannot create a custom widget or code snippet. | Your Wingify plan may not include this feature, or your user access level is set to Browse. | Ensure your account is on the Enterprise plan. Confirm your user role is Design or higher. |
| Widget or snippet creation fails due to the size limit. | The combined HTML, CSS, and JS code for the asset exceeds the 10 MB limit. | Review the size breakdown in the creation modal and optimize your code to be under 10 MB. |
