Create AI-Powered Variations in A/B Tests using Wingz

Overview

Wingz introduces a powerful AI-assisted way to create additional variations from an already modified variation in an A/B test. By analyzing your first set of changes in the first variation, the Copilot can intelligently generate more variations, helping you rapidly experiment with different messaging, visuals, or layouts without needing manual edits. You can:

• Use Wingify Copilot to auto-generate new versions of an existing variation for better experimentation ideas.
• Guide Copilot with prompts that target specific ideas or goals, such as crafting engaging headlines and eye-catching CTAs.
• Save time and explore more creative angles.

Let us understand this better with a use case:

A SaaS company wants to optimize its landing page for a free trial signup. They start an A/B test using Wingify's Visual Editor. First, they create a variation where they change the headline from Start Your Free Trial Today to Unlock Your Productivity with Our Software.

Then, using the Remix Your Variation feature with the Smart Variation Ideas, the marketer uses Copilot to generate several new headlines, such as Boost Efficiency Instantly with a Free Trial and Experience the Future of Work, Free.

Additionally, they use the Guide with a Prompt method and ask the Copilot to create new CTA buttons. The Copilot generates CTAs like Get Started Now, Access Free Trial, and Try It Out Today.

The company can preview these generated variations and then add the best ones to their A/B test, allowing them to quickly test multiple messaging and CTA options to determine which drives the most free trial signups.

Create Variations of Variation in A/B Tests

1. Start a campaign: Create a test in Wingify (an A/B Test in this case) and add your first variation in the Wingify Visual Editor. 

2. Modify the first variation: Make any change (text, image, layout, etc.) as per your hypothesis that can help you achieve your goal. This is a mandatory step. 

3. Access Copilot options:

• On the right panel, locate the variation and click the magic wand icon next to it. A pop-up titled Remix Your Variation with Wingify Copilot appears.

4. Choose a method to generate variations:

• Smart Variation Ideas: With this method, Copilot intelligently generates new versions of your content based on your previous edits in the existing variation. It analyzes your changes and uses that context to suggest optimized alternatives, whether it's different headlines, layout tweaks, or messaging angles. This method is ideal when you want quick, relevant suggestions without manually defining every detail. Think of it as an intelligent assistant that learns from your input and offers ready-to-use variations to speed up experimentation.

  For example, you tweaked the title and description of your Smartwatch’s landing page in the first variation. You can leverage the Copilot to generate better variation ideas based on those changes.

• Guide with a Prompt: This method gives you more control and flexibility. Instead of relying on automatic suggestions, you can write a detailed prompt telling Copilot exactly what changes you want. For example, you might prompt - Make this headline engaging for the visitors, or Add urgency to the CTA while keeping the tone friendly. This is great when you have a clear idea of the direction you want to take or need the variation to follow specific creative or brand guidelines. The following video represents an example of how a marketer can use a prompt to make the Title and CTA more action-oriented for the visitors.

5. Preview and Add Variation: When you use either of the two remix methods, Copilot generates the new variations. You can preview the variation by clicking it, and you can add it to your campaign. 

6. Save & Continue: Once you are satisfied with the variations, click Save and Continue to proceed with the test setup.

• Start simple: Begin with minor changes to isolate performance impact.

  No. The Copilot relies on your first set of edits to generate relevant variations. 
   
• How many variations can I generate? 
  There’s no hard limit, but limit your test to 3–4 variations for best results. Users can add a Copilot-generated variation and again generate new variations from that. 
   
• Can I edit the Copilot-generated variation? 
  Yes! Once the variation is generated, you can further fine-tune it manually. 
   
• Is this feature available on all plans? 
  It is available for users accessing the Wingify Visual Editor in A/B Testing campaigns across all plans.
