How to Locate your Wingify UUID?

A UUID is a sequence of 32 hexadecimal digits, used to identify your website visitors. Wingify drops a cookie in the browser settings for all your website visitors that contains a unique identification code, such as 3F2504E04F8911D39A0C-0305E82C3301. The Wingify UUID is browser-specific and can differ for the user across multiple browsers.

With the help of Wingify UUID, a Wingify user can request to access or delete data for a particular UUID.

Locating the UUID in Google Chrome

To locate the UUID in Google Chrome:

1. Right-click on the web page of the site that has the SmartCode installed and select the Inspect option. This opens the Chrome developer tools view.
2. Navigate to the Application tab. On the left panel, expand the Cookies dropdown and select the specific webpage.

3. A table listing all the cookies for the selected web page appears on the right. In the list, locate the UUID cookie. You can find the 32-digit alphanumeric UUID in the Value field.
   
   The cookie name depends on when your account was created:

   Account created	Cookie name
   Before June 14, 2026	_vwo_uuid
   On/After June 14, 2026	_wingify_uuid

    

Locating the UUID in Mozilla Firefox

1. Press Ctrl+Shift+I (Cmd+Option+I on macOS) to open Developer Tools.
2. Go to the Storage tab.
3. On the left side of the panel, select the desired site under Cookies. All the cookies that are in use for the selected website appear in the table on the right.
4. In the Name column, search for the UUID cookie.

5. Click the cookie to view its details. The 32-digit alphanumeric value in the cookie field is your Wingify UUID.
   The cookie name depends on when your account was created:

   On/After June 14, 2026	_wingify_uuid
