Integrate Wingify with Wix Websites

Overview

The Wingify-Wix integration empowers you to optimize your Wix website through A/B testing and visitor behavior analysis. Once you add the Wingify SmartCode to your Wix website, you can test different variations of its design and content to see what resonates best with your visitors. You can focus on improving visual elements like text, images, layout, and calls to action. 

While server-side testing and multilingual form field adjustments are currently not supported, the integration provides value for enhancing your website's performance and user experience. 

Connect Your Wingify Account with Wix Website

To begin with, connect your Wingify account to your Wix site to generate the Wingify SmartCode and automatically verify the integration.

1. Log in to your Wingify account.
2. Navigate to Configurations > Websites and Apps.
3. Click Connect Now. 
4. Under Website, click Connect.
5. Enter your website's domain.
6. Select Automatically register and track all sub-domains if needed.
7. Click Add domain.

After you click Add domain, Wingify verifies your domain and generates a SmartCode.  For more information, refer to Configure Wingify SmartCode for your website.

Add the Wingify SmartCode to Your Wix Site

You need to add the generated SmartCode to your Wix site. This SmartCode enables Wingify to track visitor behavior and run A/B tests without directly modifying your website's code. 

In your Wix Enterprise dashboard, go to Sites and select the site where you want to add the code. Then, click Settings.

1. Scroll down to Advanced and click Custom Code
2. Click + Add Custom Code.
   
3. Paste the Wingify SmartCode into the Paste the code snippet here field.
4. Enter a descriptive name for your custom code.
5. Configure the code placement as per your requirement on All pages or Specific pages.
6. Select Head to place the code in your website’s Head tag.
7. Click Apply.

You have successfully integrated the Wingify SmartCode with your Wix website.

 Note: Use the SmartCode checker to verify that the Wingify SmartCode is correctly installed on your webpage.

  Yes, you can change the code type anytime based on your site’s compliance or consent management needs. By default, Wingify SmartCode is set to Essential, meaning the code loads without visitor consent.
  Here are the available code types:
  • Essential: Enables basic site functionality like navigation, security, and session management—no consent required.
  • Functional: Supports personalized features by remembering visitor preferences. Requires user consent before loading.
  • Analytics: Tracks site interactions and user behavior for reporting and analysis. Requires user consent.
    To update the code type:

1. Go to Custom Code in your Wix dashboard.
2. Select the appropriate Wingify code snippet.
3. Click Code Type at the top of the editor.
4. Choose the desired type (Essential, Functional, or Analytics).
5. Click Apply to save changes.
