About Survey Reports

Running Wingify Surveys is a great way to engage with your website visitors, and the survey reports let you take a peek into their insights about your website. Also, it provides a detailed report of the respondent data in the most comprehensive manner. 

To access a survey report, go to Insights > Surveys. From the survey’s dashboard, select the survey for which you want to view the report. Now, go to the Report tab, where you can view your survey report in these views - Overview, Respondent View, and Question View.

Filter Reports

The report filtering option spans all three types of report views individually. This allows you to apply a time frame to your survey data and view the report for the configured cohorts as follows:

Date Filter

Click on Date Filter, select the date range for which you want to view the reports, and click Apply. By default, the survey report displays data for the last 30 days.

• Last 30 Days: View reports of the last 30 days from today.
• Last 7 Days: View reports of the last 7 days from today.
• Yesterday: View yesterday's survey data.
• Today: View today's survey data.
• Last month: View reports till the last date of the previous month, during which the survey was active and running.
• Last week: View reports till the last day of the previous week. By default, the weekly report cycle is from Sunday to Saturday.

Visitor Segments

You can view your survey report for specific cohorts by configuring the Visitor Segment filter. You can choose to use the standard templates that Wingify provides under Standard Segments or create one by yourself using the Custom Segment section, where you can use Wingify-defined visitor attributes to segment your visitors. Overview Tab 

Wingify Surveys track all user interactions, capturing both complete and partial responses. This section displays the overall responses to each question, entailing a graphical representation for the responses involving choices and a word cloud for the ones involving free texts (single-line and multi-line responses). The Overview tab logs three types of survey interactions:

• Displayed - The total number of visitors who saw the survey.
• Attempted - Visitors who have interacted with the survey in any capacity. This includes visitors who:
  • View the survey and don’t submit even a single response. For example, they may answer the first question but not click Next to submit their response.
  • Answer at least one question and click Next to submit the response, but do not complete the survey. They may abandon it or close it midway.
  • Answer and submit their responses to only a few questions and end the survey by closing it or without clicking the Submit button at the end.
• Completed - Users who answered all survey questions and submitted the survey by clicking the Submit button at the end.

Since going through the responses could be tasking, Wingify offers to generate an overall report summary using OpenAI-powered AI (Artificial Intelligence). To avail of it, click on the Generate report summary option. To proceed further, you will be required to grant permission for the AI to access the survey data. In the Permission Required to Proceed popup that appears, read the information carefully and if you’re willing to proceed, click on the Approve Request. 

NOTE: The AI feature is currently in beta and is accessible to a limited number of users. The rollout is scheduled to take place in stages. Kindly reach out to support@wingify.com to become part of the beta test.

The AI renders a quick summary of the overall responses gathered from your survey. This consists of a summary paragraph followed by key insights into the respondents and suggested actionable items.

NOTE: Summary generation via AI is exclusive to the Overview tab, and it can be used only when the survey gathers a minimum of 25 responses.

At the top-right of the summary, you can find the options to copy the AI-generated summary and to regenerate the response.

NOTE: You can click on the Regenerate Response icon to regenerate responses with the existing data up to 3 times, beyond which it gets disabled. It gets enabled, and clicking on it would render a new response with updated data only after the response rate sees a 5% hike.

Respondent View

The Respondent View displays the answers provided by each respondent. The RESPONDENTS tab from the panel on the right lists all the respondents, along with the date and time at which they submitted their survey responses. You can select the respondent whose responses you want to view.

If a response has been skipped, the corresponding question will be displayed with the text -  Visitor skipped this question. 

Question View

The Question View displays the questions in the QUESTIONS tab on the right panel; selecting one displays the respective responses, either graphically or as a word cloud based on the type of the question. You can navigate through the questions to view the corresponding overall responses.

View Recordings of Visitors based on Survey Responses

You can view recordings of your survey based on the responses you have received. For example, you can view recordings of visitors who selected No as a response or selected a specific option from the drop-down list. 

If you have been receiving poor NPS ratings, you can view recordings for respondents who gave you low ratings. With the recordings, you can find out what went wrong and what worked well. You can analyze how users searched for information or behaved on the website, and understand why they responded that way. To view the recording, click on the dropdown arrow present in the Response section and select the View Recordings option.

Note: This option might not be visible for all the responses as the Session Recordings works on the principle of sampling whereas Surveys do not.

Adding Observations

Should you gather any notable factors that could influence your inferences from the report, you can jot them down in the OBSERVATIONS section. This is available for Respondent and Question views. 

To add an observation, click CreateanObservation, and enter your observations. You may also enter the URL of the webpage pertaining to the area corresponding to the observation. Besides, you can also add a label to your observation for better identification and attach files up to 5 MB each, totally amounting to not more than 10 MB. The following file formats are accepted - PNG, JPEG, PDF, DOC, DOCX, CSV, and XLS.

More Options

Upon selecting a survey from the Surveys dashboard, you can access the following report options by clicking on the vertical ellipsis: 

• Email - Use this option to email the links for accessing the survey to other collaborators.
• Download - Use this to download survey reports.
  
  Note: Downloading the survey report is applicable to Growth, Pro, and Enterprise plans only.
   
• Clone - Replicate the survey when you have to create another similar survey. In situations where you need minimal changes to a survey, you can simply clone the survey and make the required changes to save time and effort. The cloned survey will have a new ID.
• Archive - Remove the survey from the dashboard list but does not delete the survey. It will continue to exist but will not clutter your dashboard, and you can easily access it in the future if needed.
• Trash - Remove the survey and move it to the temporary storage. Trashed items will not be accessible after a certain period of time.
• Flush Data - Clear all data collected for the surveys that already have some data. Flushed survey campaigns keep running and data gathering is automatically restarted.
