All the new Wingify Engage customers are moved to Vapid, and therefore, they are not required to enter the FCM details.
Vapid is the latest sending mechanism widely used across Web Push Notification Services. An application server can voluntarily identify itself to a push service using this technique. This identification information can be used by the push service to attribute requests that are made by the same application server to a single entity.
In simple terms, a VAPID is a new web push notification sending mechanism that helps improve the delivery rate.
Apart from this, It has also helped in improving the overall performance of Push Notification Services; based on our recent observations, analysis, and reports.
VAPID also supports more browsers as compared to GCM/FCM ( for example, Microsoft Edge Browser), which would mean an increase in subscriber base.
