Overview
Integrating Wingify with Salesforce unlocks powerful capabilities for targeted experimentation and personalization. This integration enables you to import Salesforce object lists into your Wingify account and segment visitors based on valuable customer data, leading to more relevant and effective campaigns.
Before You Begin
- You have an active Salesforce account (Production or Sandbox).
- The Wingify SmartCode is installed on your website.
Create a Salesforce Connection
Wingify supports the following Salesforce connection type:
- Import Object Lists from Salesforce (Targeting): Allows you to import Salesforce object lists to target visitors in Wingify.
To create a Salesforce connection in your Wingify account:
- Log in to your Wingify account.
- Navigate to Configurations > Integrations
- Click the Salesforce integration tile and then click Create Connection.
- In the Create Connection panel, select Import Object Lists from Salesforce.
- Provide a Connection Name (e.g., "Salesforce segment connector").
- Under Connect your Salesforce to start pulling data, choose Production or Sandbox.
- Click Authenticate Wingify on Salesforce.
- In the authentication popup that appears, supply your Salesforce account credentials to log in. Upon successful login, your Salesforce account is connected to your Wingify account. This enables Wingify to access your account to import your Salesforce object list.
Note: Wingify authentication does not automatically authorize access to your Salesforce data. You must configure the specific data you want to import.
Once authenticated, the connection appears in Config > Active Connections on the Salesforce integration page.
After the connection is created, you can enable the integration at the campaign level using the following steps:
- Navigate to Web Experimentation.
- Select the desired campaign, and go to Configuration > Integrations.
- Select Salesforce from the list of available integrations.
Import Object Lists from Salesforce
Once the connection is created, you can import object lists using the following steps:
- From the connection's row in Active Connections, click the vertical ellipsis (⋮) under Actions and select View Object Lists.
- In the Object Lists added to target visitors in Wingify panel, click Add new object list.
- In the Object list name field, provide a descriptive name for your list.
- From the Object for targeting dropdown, select the relevant Salesforce object type.
- Choose the specific field within the object that contains the data you wish to target.
- Select the checkbox to confirm that the imported list adheres to data privacy regulations and does not contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
- By default, Wingify fetches all the data subject to the object list condition specified. If needed, you can further refine your list by clicking on the Add condition link and adding conditions to filter the data (e.g., "Lead Status = Qualified").
Note: You can import any of your standard Salesforce object data (lead, contact, opportunity, and accounts).
- Before submitting the request, you can run a test to check if the object list conditions match by clicking on Test Data. This displays a preview of the data that will be imported. If you need to make any changes to the condition, click on the Edit condition button and perform the required changes.
- Click Submit.
This triggers Wingify to fetch your object list. The data sync starts and you’ll be able to use your object list after the sync completes.
Wingify runs an automatic sync process once daily. If any update is made in Salesforce to the imported object list, you can run a manual sync either for all of your object lists by clicking Sync all or by selectively syncing an object list by accessing the Sync option from the vertical ellipsis.
Note: The import of your Salesforce object lists is subject to your Attribute list quota.
Once the sync is complete, you’re now ready to use the list to target visitors in your Wingify campaign.
Target Visitors With Salesforce Data
Assume that your website caters to B2B, and you want to target specific campaigns based on the lead status in Salesforce. You can show different messaging or offers to leads in the "Free Trial" status compared to those in the "Qualified" status.
You can perform this by importing their website domain via your object list and matching the same with any of the following:
- Your predefined browser variable, such as a cookie, JS variable, local storage, etc.
- Any third-party IP-reveal service such as ClearBit, 6sense, Demandbase, and Tealium.
Let’s say you want to target using 6sense by matching the leads in your Salesforce object list; you can perform this through the following steps:
Note: In order to use a third-party IP-reveal service existing in Wingify, you need to enable the respective integration in Wingify and possess an active subscription with the service provider.
- Go to Web Experimentation, select your campaign. Then, go to Configuration > Targeting > Custom Segment.
- Click Add another condition.
- Select the 6sense Attribute condition and choose Domain in the dropdown adjacent to it.
- Select the In list match condition.
- In the last dropdown, select the object list that you want to use to target your visitors.
- Once done, click Save Segment.
- In the pop-up that appears, enter the name of the segment, optionally add a description, and click Save.
- Click Apply to apply the segment to the campaign.
Alternatively, you can also use Wingify’s in-built targeting options to match the object list data in a similar way.
By seamlessly integrating Wingify and Salesforce, you can leverage the power of customer data to create impactful and data-driven optimization campaigns.
