Overview
Integrating Wingify with HubSpot allows you to sync campaign data, target visitors using HubSpot Lists, and access Wingify session recordings directly within HubSpot. Wingify supports multiple HubSpot connection types, each designed for a specific use cases such as reporting, visitor targeting, or session analysis.
You can use this data to compare variations, gain deeper insights into your Wingify campaigns, and optimize your conversion strategy.
Before You Begin
Ensure the following prerequisites are met:
- You have an active HubSpot account.
- Your website has both the Wingify SmartCode and HubSpot tracking codes installed.
- You have admin-level access in Wingify to configure integrations.
Create a HubSpot Connection in Wingify
Wingify supports the following HubSpot connection types:
- Send campaign data to HubSpot: Sends Wingify campaign and variation data to HubSpot for reporting and analysis.
- Send session recordings to HubSpot: Allows you to access Wingify session recordings directly in HubSpot for deeper analysis.
- Import Lists from HubSpot: Allows you to target visitors in Wingify using HubSpot Lists.
To create a HubSpot connection in your Wingify account:
- Log in to your Wingify account.
- From the left panel, navigate to Configurations > Integrations.
- Click the HubSpot integration tile and then, click Create Connection.
- Select the type of connection you want to configure.
All configured connections appear under the Active Connections section on the HubSpot integration page.
Send Campaign Data to HubSpot
Use this connection type to send Wingify campaign and variation data to HubSpot for reporting and analysis.
To configure the connection:
- Click Create Connection and select Send campaign data to HubSpot.
- Enter a name in the Connection Name field.
- Under HubSpot API event type, select one of the following options:
- Custom Events: Enter the Event Internal Name in the field that appears. To find the internal event name, see Custom Events Mode.
- Custom Behavioral Event (Legacy): To learn the configuration steps for this mode, see–Legacy mode.
- Click Create Connection.
Note: After creating the connection, it is automatically applied to new campaigns. To enable it for existing campaigns, go to Web Experimentation, select your campaign, and in Configuration > Integrations, select HubSpot.

Send Session Recordings to HubSpot
Use this connection type to push Wingify session recordings to HubSpot for deeper analysis.
To configure the connection:
- Click Create Connection and select Send session recordings to HubSpot.
- Enter a name in the Connection Name field.
- Choose how you'd like the recording link to behave when shared:
- Secure link (Wingify login required): Only logged-in users can view session recordings. Use this for sensitive or internal data.
- Open link (no login needed): Anyone with the link can view the recording. Best for easier public sharing.
- Under Connect Wingify with HubSpot, click Connect Wingify with HubSpot to authenticate your HubSpot account.
- Click Create Connection.

Import Lists from HubSpot
Use this connection type to target visitors in Wingify using HubSpot Lists.
To configure the connection:
- Click Create Connection and select Import Lists from HubSpot.
- Enter a name in the Connection Name field.
- Under Connect Wingify with HubSpot, click Authenticate Wingify on HubSpot to authenticate your HubSpot account.
- (Optional) Toggle on Enable automated data sync to allow Wingify to automatically set up the required Custom Event and Workflow in your HubSpot account, with no need to manually configure the contact property, custom event, and workflow.
- Click Create Connection.

Once configured, these connections allow you to integrate your experimentation and personalization workflows with HubSpot for improved targeting, reporting, and visitor analysis.
