This article covers the following:
Overview
Before starting a campaign, use the Review tab to verify all configurations, preview your variations as visitors will see them, and confirm that variation screenshots look correct.
The Review tab becomes active once you have completed the required configuration sections.
Review Tab Overview
Click Review in the top navigation of the campaign editor. The left sidebar shows five sections:
- Configuration Summary: A complete list of all settings applied to the campaign.
- Debugger: Test your campaign configuration on any web page. (Early Access)
- QA Configurations: Restrict who can see the campaign during QA testing.
- Live Preview: An interactive preview of your variations.
- Variation Screenshots: Quick screenshot previews of each variation.
Configuration Summary
The Configuration Summary section lists every setting you have configured, including pages, variations, metrics, targeting conditions, integrations, and advanced options. Review this list to catch any missing or misconfigured settings before going live.
The summary is organized into expandable sections: Pages, Variations, Targeting, Metrics, Guardrails, Traffic, SmartStats Configuration, Additional Options, Other Information, and Domains.
Each section displays the configured values inline. For example, the Variations section shows each variation name, its traffic split percentage, and an Edit button.
If any of the URLs in your campaign point to an unregistered domain, the summary will flag it. Click the Register link to associate the domain with your Wingify account.
Tip: You can use the Review with Wingify AI button (Early Access) at the top of the Configuration Summary to get an AI-assisted review of your campaign settings.
Debugger
The Debugger lets you test your campaign configuration on any web page before the campaign goes live. It is available as an Early Access feature.
The Debugger section has two tabs:
Debug tab
Enter any URL in the input field and click Debug. Wingify loads the page and checks whether your campaign configuration applies correctly to it.
History tab
The History tab shows a log of previous debug runs with columns for Web Page, Run Time, Run By, and Status. Use the search field to filter by web page URL, or apply the Filter dropdown to narrow results.
QA Configurations
The QA Configurations section lets you restrict who sees the campaign when its status is In QA. Only visitors who match the QA access rules will see the campaign during QA.
Three access rule types are available, each toggled independently:
- IP Address: Restrict visibility to selected IP addresses.
- Cookie Value: Qualify visitors using a specific cookie.
- Query Parameter: Append a parameter to the URL to qualify a visitor.
Note: These access rules are active only when the campaign status is In QA. Changes here affect this campaign only, independent of Global Defaults. Use Reset to global defaults to revert.
Live Preview
Live Preview lets you see exactly how each variation will appear to visitors, including any audience targeting conditions that are active. It is particularly useful for campaigns with audience targeting. For example, if your campaign targets visitors from a specific country, Live Preview simulates that experience so you can confirm the variation renders correctly for that segment.
For more information, see Preview Test Variations in WIngify.
Variation Screenshots
This section provides quick screenshot previews of the control and each variation. Use these to confirm each version's visual appearance without opening a browser.
The section is labeled Quick Screenshot Previews and displays thumbnails grouped side by side, one column per variation. Two controls appear in the top-right corner:
- Group by: Switch between grouping screenshots by Browser (default) or by Variation.
- Select Browsers: Filter which browsers are shown in the preview.
Note: Screenshots may take a few seconds to render the first time, depending on server load. Refresh the page if they do not appear.
Start the Campaign
Once you are satisfied with the review, launch the campaign:
- Click the Current Status dropdown in the left pane. It shows Ready to launch once all required configuration sections are complete.
- Select Running from the Next Steps panel that appears.
Note: If you are not ready to start the campaign immediately, select Schedule Campaign from the Next Steps panel to set a future start date and time. For more information, see Schedule a Campaign in Wingify. - The campaign status changes to Running.
Alternatively, from the Web Experimentation dashboard, locate your campaign in the list, click its Status badge, and select Running or Schedule Campaign from the Next Steps panel.
Wingify begins delivering variations to visitors who match your targeting conditions.
After Launch
Once your campaign is live:
- Monitor results in the Reports tab of the campaign.
- Check for any guardrail breaches if you configured guardrails. Wingify will notify you and automatically disable affected variations.
- Avoid making changes to the campaign while it is running, as changes can invalidate collected data.
- If you must make a change, consider cloning the campaign, making the change on the clone, and restarting from there.
Note: If you need to stop a running campaign to make changes, pause it first. Pausing preserves the data collected so far.
