Making Unpublished Changes to Wingify Campaigns

Overview

Wingify’s Unpublished Changes feature provides the flexibility to adjust the configuration of an ongoing campaign without affecting the current version, ensuring that changes can be carefully evaluated and perfected before applying to the live campaign.

Use Cases

• Testing Refinement: The feature comes in handy when you want to adjust variations or campaign settings like targeting or goals while the campaign is already live.
• Collaborative Campaign Management: The feature enables team members to review changes before they are applied to ensure the accuracy of expected results.
• Safeguarding Running Campaigns: Any campaign involving monetary aspects, such as those for e-commerce websites, can be secured to prevent accidental or unintended changes from affecting live campaign performance.

Enable Unpublished Changes for a Workspace

To enable the Unpublished Changes feature for a workspace :

1. Navigate to Settings > Campaign.
2. Select the Enable Unpublished Changes on all your campaigns for this account checkbox.

Once enabled, the feature applies to all eligible campaigns.

Make Unpublished Changes while Configuring Campaigns

• Make Changes: Once the feature is enabled for the account, you can now modify any of your running campaigns as needed (for example, edit variations, adjust metrics, change targeting).
• Save as Unpublished: After you are done modifying the campaign while saving changes, select the Save as Unpublished option instead of Apply to Campaign.
• Review Changes: Access the Activity Timeline to view the history of unpublished changes.
• Preview Changes: Go to the Live Preview section and select the variation you want to preview. This allows you to see how the changes will look on your website once the changes are merged into the running campaign.
• Apply Changes: After you have reviewed the changes, click the Apply Changes option to merge the unpublished changes into the running campaign. A confirmation modal will warn you about the potential impact on results. Click Apply Changes to make the modifications live.

FAQs

• What types of changes can be saved as unpublished? 
  You can save any configuration change made to a running campaign as unpublished, except changes to mutually exclusive groups. This also includes certain report-level changes, such as Use this as baseline, edit variation, and disable variation.

   

• Can I discard unpublished changes? 
  Yes, you can discard the unpublished changes. However, please keep in mind that this action is irreversible.
