Overview

FullStory is a web-based digital intelligence system that helps optimize the client experience. It enables you to track and monitor each customer’s activity. From clicks to page transitions, everything is indexed automatically. The indexed information is accessible to the entire team, which helps drive business decisions.

Session playbacks in FullStory are more than just a recording; they are a view into the customer's journey. 

This provides an intuitive experience by allowing you to inspect customer activity, identify rage clicks, create funnels, and review page analytics from the dashboard.

Integrating your Wingify account with FullStory enables you to push your A/B test data from Wingify to FullStory. This helps in:

• Generating powerful insights by allowing filter down the session recordings by A/B test along with respective variations
• Observing the behavior of each variant and determining what factors favored one variation over another.

The end-to-end process of integrating Wingify with FullStory is a two-step process:

1. Create a FullStory Connection in Wingify
2. Viewing Reports in FullStory

Before You Begin

• You must have a valid and active FullStory account.
• You must have the required FullStory API credentials available before creating a connection in Wingify.

Create a FullStory Connection in Wingify

Wingify supports the following FullStory connection types:

• Send Campaign Data to FullStory: Sends Wingify campaign and variation data to FullStory for analysis and reporting.
• Import Segments from FullStory: Imports FullStory segments into Wingify for visitor targeting.

To create a FullStory connection:

1. Log in to your Wingify account.
2. From the left panel, navigate to Configurations > Integrations.
3. Click the FullStory integration tile and click Create Connection.
4. Select the type of connection you want to configure.
5. Enter the required configuration details.
6. Click Create Connection.

All configured connections appear under the Config > Active Connections section on the FullStory integration page.

Send Campaign Data to FullStory

Use this connection type to send Wingify campaign and variation data to FullStory for analysis.

To configure the connection:

1. Create a new FullStory connection.
2. Select Send Campaign Data to FullStory.
3. Enter a name in the Connection Name field.
4. Click Create Connection.

Note: To enable the connection for campaigns, go to Web Experimentation, select a campaign, and go to Configuration > Integrations and select FullStory.

Specifications of Wingify Experiment Data Sent to FullStory

Wingify sends campaign data to FullStory in the following format:

Event name: wingify

Event properties:

variation_id: {VARIATION_ID},
campaign_name: {CAMPAIGN_NAME},
variation_name: {VARIATION_NAME},
user_id: {USER_ID},
target_id: {TRIGGER_ID},

Note: The target_id and target_name properties are available only when using the Personalize Holdback feature.

Import Segments from FullStory

Use this connection type to import FullStory segments into Wingify for visitor targeting.

To configure the connection:

1. Click Create Connection and select Import Segments from FullStory.
2. In the Create Connection form, enter a name in the Connection Name field.
3. Enter your FullStory API key in the API Key field.
4. Click Create Connection.

View Reports in FullStory

To view reports (be it for recordings/Metrics/Funnels) in FullStory:

1. Log in to your FullStory account.
2. In the Event Filters section, select Custom Event from the dropdown.
   A new dropdown list appears.
3. From the dropdown list that appears, select VWO.
    
4. Results can be segmented based on a specific A/B test name [or id] and variant name [or id], click on the three dots (...) and choose the desired filters.
   Based on the filtering criteria, the results are displayed at the bottom of the page.
